Alongside the announcement that The Elder Scrolls Online was ditching the subscription fee, publisher Bethesda also announced that the game would be coming to PS4 and Xbox One in June and so finally, console fans could rest easy.Ĭonsole users were also delighted when it was announced that The Elder Scrolls Online would be getting a console beta. As TESO on PC had been criticized for things such as frustrating quests, any chances to test out the game before buying were welcomed with open arms. These concerns were unfounded though as the game was only removed as TESO transitioned from a monthly subscription model to a 'pay once, play forever' model instead. When TESO was pulled from Australian shelves in February, there were fears that the game may not make it onto PS4 and Xbox One until the tail end of 2015. Although the console versions of the game were announced alongside the PC version, developer ZeniMax Online delayed them for six months as they had to "solve a series of problems specific to those platforms." Six months turned out to be an optimistic estimate as The Elder Scrolls Online was then delayed further, into 2015. Elder Scrolls fans have had to wait a long time for fantasy MMO The Elder Scrolls Onlineto come to PS4 and Xbox One.
